CAF Research Unit: Supporting Clinical and Scientific Research into Fasciopathies

CAF has a research unit led by Dr Marta Cañis Parera, Dr Carles Greoles and nurse Susana Serrano. The unit collects and reviews clinical information, where appropriate and with relevant consent, to contribute to a better understanding of fasciopathies and individual responses to treatment.

Through CAF’s focus on superficial fascial presentations, the research unit is able to gather structured clinical information that may help identify patterns and inform future research into this developing area.

Information gathered through the research program may also contribute to the design of clinical studies in collaboration with the Fasciopathies Research Foundation, with the aim of expanding the scientific evidence relating to fascial tissue, fasciopathies and treatment approaches.

Future research aims to improve understanding of fascial tissue and explore approaches that may contribute to better assessment, treatment and prevention strategies. CAF also supports the Fasciopathies Research Foundation through financial contributions to help further research in this field.

Collaboration with the Fasciopathies Research Foundation to Support Ongoing Research

CAF is committed to supporting further research into fasciopathies. To contribute to this work, CAF allocates 2% of the profit from each consultation to the Fasciopathies Research Foundation (FRF).

These contributions help support research and education aimed at improving understanding of fasciopathies, including their possible causes, clinical features and the ways they may be assessed and managed.

The Fasciopathies Research Foundation works to expand knowledge in this developing field and to encourage further scientific investigation. Ongoing research may help identify new approaches to assessment, management and, potentially, prevention in the future.
